Many people worry that at some time, either through accident or age, they will become unable to look after financial matters for themselves. We encourage all our clients, whatever age they are, to make an Enduring Power of Attorney. This enables a named person or persons to act for you on financial matters, either for specific tasks or free of any restrictions.
We offer you the opportunity to make an Enduring Power of Attorney at a reduced rate when you make one at the same time as a will.
If a person has already lost their mental capacity then we can act for you on an application to the Court of Protection, and can even act as professional Receivers if there are no family members to act.
We can offer expert advice on Court of Protection work including applications to the Court for Statutory Wills, and permission to make lifetime gifts for people with a mental incapacity.
